In our last post we talked about outdoor adventures that don't require hiking. This week we're going to explore wildlife experiences in and around Northern Arizona.
This beautiful giraffe can be found at Out of Africa Wildlife Park in Camp Verde. Come explore and meet many animals from all over the world, they even offer private tours, zip-lining, keeper talks, and photography lessons.
Just a short distance away from Sedona, in the town of Williams, you can enjoy an amazing wildlife drive-through adventure at Bearizona. This is one of our family favorites and we love recommending it to guests and friends who come to visit. You can drive right into the enclosures of wolves, bison, bear, and deer. They also have a traditional zoo where you can walk around, grab some food, chat with zookeepers, and see the beautiful wildlife.
If you're looking to get really up close and personal to some amazing wildlife check out Sedona Wolf Sanctuary. Located in nearby Camp Verde, they are only available by reservation so plan ahead to ensure you get a spot to meet these graceful animals. They even host spiritual retreat events or allow you to host your own retreat among the wolves.
Across the way from Bearizona in Williams is the Grand Canyon Deer Farm, where you can meet and feed some friendly deer. You can also see camels, peacocks, wallabies, llama, bison, and more. If you are traveling with kids this is an awesome spot to put on your must visit list.
