Sedona has a beautiful and dynamic environment and packing for your adventures is essential to a safe and fantastic trip. Here's our list of recommended items to make the most out of your time here.
Clothing:
Layers are key, this is the high desert and the day and night temps can vary greatly. Long sleeve sun shirts are great for summer and flannel is a great option for winter.
Sturdy shoes are super important as well. Hiking shoes with good tread and quality socks are a must have to navigate the trails safely.
Hat in the summer months
Supplies:
Backpack or sturdy bag to take on the trails with you
Sunscreen, even in the winter the Arizona sun is out and bright!
Water and snacks. We provide some snacks in our homes that you are welcome to take with you! Sometimes trails can take longer than you expect so having water and some food is crucial. Also, the water in all our homes is filtered and safe to drink so make sure to fill your bottles before you take off.
Chapstick, trust me, your lips will thank you! The lack of humidity here is impressive.
Other extras:
Camera, this goes without saying, the beauty here is absolutely stunning!
Walking stick, if mobility is an issue and you need a little extra support.
AllTrails or similar map app on your phone. Most of our trails are well marked and maintained, but having a way to navigate will keep you safe and on course.
